Thank you for visiting our new Internet site. You have reached the original RONIN DOJO (1976) and the home of the first classical mixed martial arts system, RONIN-DO-RYU (1981). Founded by Sensei Paul Joseph Fuccillo, the school is regionally known for its Judo, Ju-Jitsu, Karate, and Weapons training in Sword, Staff, Spear, and Naginata, and has an excellent reputation for traditional training, competitive spirit, tournament participation, and in-depth knowledge of how the martial arts are inter-related. Sensei Fuccillo is the only Long Island NY instructor with a B.A. in Physical Education, a M.A. in East Asian Studies, and a lifetime spent in researching the martial arts curriculum of the classical Samurai warrior. Ronin Martial Arts, located on Jericho Turnpike in Huntington, has been custom-built, with a "floating" floor, and professional tatami mats, in order to bring you the safest environment for your martial arts training.

In brief, you should know the following about us: our school, Ronin Dojo, was established in 1976 and has been responsible for providing outstanding martial arts instruction ever since. With the opening of Ronin Martial Arts in New Hyde Park, Nassau, NY in 1984, we expanded into selling martial arts supplies. Our specialty is in the area of traditional  martial arts instruction with JUDO, JU-JITSU, KARATE, KOBUJUTSU (samurai weapons), and RONIN-DO-RYU, the first classical mixed martial arts style taught on Long Island since 1981.

The students who train with us particularly value our emphasis on traditional training, and our adherence to the code of Bushido, the Way of the Warrior. Note: Children's Martial Arts is a blend of Judo, Ju-Jitsu, & Karate. Belts can be earned in all three arts. The emphasis is on Judo.

Ronin-Do-Ryu, the samurai curriculum of study, is a mixed martial arts program. It is the first MMA curriculum on Long Island, taught since 1981. Please see Ronin-do-ryu in the main menu.

Ronin-Do-Ryu allows one to get promoted in Judo, Ju-Jitsu, and Karate.

CLASS ATTENDANCE  & TUITION

                              Annual Registration Fee : $50

           Adults : $99 per month                  Children : $89 per month

Tuition is paid in 3 month semesters. There is no contract.

INSTRUCTORS

Matt Dolan has been training with Sensei Fuccillo since 1991 and has belts in Judo, Ju-Jitsu, Karate, and Ronin-do-ryu.

Mark McDonnell has been training with Sensei Fuccillo since 1989 and has belts in Judo, Ju-Jitsu, Karate, and Ronin-do-ryu.

All programs are under the supervision of Sensei Paul Joseph Fuccillo.
